During the months of November and December Sunnyside Shines decorated a vacant store on Greenpoint Avenue creating a place for Santa to stop his sleigh for the holidays. During the three weekends before Christmas parents were able to bring their children by to eat candy canes, play with a toy train and tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas. With the overall goal of boosting holiday sales, Sunnyside Shines handed out coupon books to 44 local stores including a contest to win a brand new 40" television.
