The Sunnyside Shines Business Improvement District is looking for local opinions on what businesses shoppers would like to see come to Sunnyside, specifically along Queens Boulevard and Greenpoint Avenue. Sunnyside Shines has begun surveying shoppers in person and online, and hopes to collect at least 400 responses over the next few weeks.
The commercial corridors on Queens Boulevard and Greenpoint Avenue already contain a diverse collection of shops and restaurants, and Sunnyside Shines wants to determine which types of new businesses could enhance the district’s draw.
John Vogt, Chair of the Sunnyside Shines Board said: “We look forward to hearing what retail options residents think are needed in Sunnyside. Answering this can help us think about business that the community wants and will support – cornerstones of a successful commercial district.”
The brief survey will be available at the upcoming Sunnyside Summer Strolls events on July 27th and August 3rd, as well as throughout the BID over the next weeks. Those who would rather not wait can find it online at www.surveymonkey.com/s/57WNVP3.
